Walking Horse

Check it out: vaguely horse-shaped lines! They even move sort of like a horse, although I'm not really sure what gait this ended up being. It was supposed to be a regular walk, but it looks a tad fast for that. The way the front feet contact just before the hind feet looks plain wrong to me, but this horse walks like that, so I'm not sure what to think! At some point I want to add the rest of the horse, but this has been sitting around for months with no progress, so I've just decided to post it.

I made this partly to test out the MyPaint X-sheet branch, which is a pretty swell (although moderately outdated) animation-oriented version of MyPaint. For simple animations like this, it's just about perfect, but since it doesn't allow for multiple layers of animation, it'd be hard to use for anything more complicated. Plain stick figures had also become a little tiresome, so I wanted to animate something else for once. Of course, it wasn't until after I finished that I realized skeletons are basically the same thing. Dang.
